Two years after joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), and along with the extraordinary development of e-commerce within the world economy, online payment methods and banking system security have become important issues to emerging economies such as Vietnam.  Vietnam’s financial banking system has been developing strongly for the past 10 years and in recent years, issues of banking security have become more and more important as increasing attention is being paid to them.  As a new member of the market economy and free trade, Vietnam must take serious interest in developing the internal infrastructure needed to integrate effectively into the world economy.

In face of the urgent security and technology issues facing Vietnam within e-commerce and banking, Worldsoft Corporation and The Banking Times are organizing the International Conference in Methods of Security in E-commerce and Banking, under the instruction and sponsorship of the State Bank of Vietnam.  The conference aims to create an environment for e-commerce enterprises and Vietnam’s banking system to approach, update, and advance high technology solutions for Vietnam as well as all over the world.  The conference will be organized annually through major cities such as Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City, with attendance and presentations from some of the most renowned American and Vietnamese experts in the information technology security sector.

Abstract: 

Online banking had been very popular globally, there are currently more than forty millions users doing online banking around the world, and the numbers are increasing significantly everyday. Building an online banking system is a must but making sure that the system is safe and highly secured. The numbers of Cyber Crimes are also growing dramatically due to the larger community of Internet users and systems, therefore, the war battles with hackers need to be more sophisticated and systematic. What are the current issues in online banking security? How can the hackers tap in the banking systems? What are the available up-to-date solutions to protect and prevent disasters for online banking and ecommerce systems?
