Nowadays, information technology (IT) is found utilized and disseminated throughout most countries of the world.  In Vietnam, IT is increasingly being engaged in people’s lives and becoming an efficient tool for the country’s industrialization and modernization.  As determined by the guidelines set by the Vietnamese government, the key objective for IT enterprises is effective deployment.  As time has passed, it is clear that these objectives are being met as IT enterprises work towards these goals.  Although one of the required criteria from the government is for “every place to be computerized”, many provincial and local governments have yet to master the important roles and benefits of applying IT technology towards managing government administration.  Thua Thien Hue is one of the first provinces to utilize software application to manage government administration as well as computerize local government systems.  A reporter from the Business Finance Magazine interviews Mr. Ho Xuan Phan, the Information and Communications Division Chief of Thua Thien Hue province, during a meeting between Thua Thien Hue and WORLDSOFT Corporation in Ho Chi Minh City.  Worldsoft is a leading IT company that provides software solutions for Government and Enterprises Management.

Reporter: In the international integration process, there are many enterprises providing very similar software products.  What made you choose WORLDSOFT as a partner in providing government administration solutions?

Mr. Ho Xuan Phan: Through our colleagues’ recommendations as well as through our own research from different sources, we found WORLDSOFT to be a prestigious IT company that provides practical software for governmental management.  They’ve had consecutive and successful deployment projects in the Vietnam market as well as abroad.  Through this visit, we saw WORLDSOFT to be a promising company, with great talent from the Board of Directors down to the developer team.  Even though it is a young company, we admire and express satisfaction towards WORLDSOFT’s products and solutions.  These are the reasons why we chose WORLDSOFT to be our partner.

Reporter: Through this visit to the company, what do you expect from WORLDSOFT and what is your message to the Board of Directors as well as to the employees of the company?

Mr. Ho Xuan Phan: I hope WORLDSOFT, and Saigon in general, will continue to reinforce relationships and cooperation as we did during the war.  I want to express our special thanks to the Board of Directors and all the employees from Worldsoft who have wholeheartedly supported our province in this project.  We hope WORLDSOFT will become the leading company in the IT field not only in Vietnam but also throughout the world.
